Bioenergy Today

From today until the 29th of May Sweden will be hosting the 3rd edition of the World Bioenergy Conference in the city of Jönköping. Today’s conferences will cover the topics about US-Sweden bioenergy cooperation and Brazil-Sweden bioenergy cooperation. These conferences are of great importance since US and Brazil are the world largest producers of ethanol and Brazil is considered as the world's first sustainable biofuels economy and the biofuel industry leader. Let’s hope that these conferences will reduce the criticism that some sceptics have about ethanol who argue that it takes too much fossil fuel to produce this alternative fuel. Hello, I see "His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Patron of World Bioenergy" and there is this topic about:

Confused by media about bioenergy?

The side event agricultural biofuels and the media invites companies, scientists and everyone with an interest in the development of agricultural biofuels to World Bioenergy 2008, in Jönköping,

Sweden: 27 May, at 3-6 p.m.

Why is the media so confused about bioethanol and biorefineries? I guess Elias has some good comments to this question.
